Chapter 10

Cry of the Hunters
Ralph
Survivor

Dear diary,
Jack has lost his mind him and tribe are acting like savages. They try to hunt me down and I had to hide and sleep in the thicket. I'm lucky that Samneric gave me meat before I hid or I would have starved. Jack made Samneric join his tribe by kidnapping them and torturing them until they joined. Rodger had prepared a double sided spear to kill me and stick my head on it. The tribe try to bring out of hiding by dropping rocks, and when that didn't work they set the island on fire. When I ran to the beach I saw that there was a ship and a Naval officer standing. When we got there Percival didn't remember his name. I took responsibility for what happened on the island. I feel like the officer felt disappointed on how we acted.

Chapter 5

Beast from water
Ralph

Dear diary,

I decided to call the meeting because everyone is out of order and not doing there jobs. Some concerns I have are that no one is bringing fresh water, going to the bathroom where there suppose to, and the fire went out. I feel that if this continues the food will be inedible, we will become dehydrated, and ships might pass by and not see us because the fire is out. Things are falling apart because no one is doing there job and not following rules. And to make things worse the littluns start lamenting in the middle of the night because there afraid of the beastie. My attitude towards being chief is difficult to say, it gets announcing no one knows what to do and they turn to you. The decision making is crucial when it is something important. I believe that I have changed as a leader because I can handel the responsibility.

Chapter10

Lord of the Flies
The Shell and the Glasses
Simon (dead)

Dear diary,
Ralph thinks that my death was a murder, but piggy is sure it was an accident. Piggy blames my death on the three things. It was dark, Jack and Ralph were fighting, all of the boys were in a frenzy after the kill, and the boys were still afraid of the beastie.

Jack made his tribe, with a few strange rules. One of them is his guards on castle rock have to challenge everyone who comes near them. He also decided that when they go hunting they have to cut off the pigs head stick it on a pike. As an offering to the beastie.

Jack has a plan to raid Ralph's camp and steal there fire by taking Piggy's glasses. Jack takes Roger and Maurice. Shortly when they arrive, they hide in the bushes and try to scare Piggy by calling out his name when they were asleep. When Jack and his hunters attack they go into the hut. Ralph can't see and accidentally fights Eric, and Jack gets away with Piggy's glasses.

Capter 7

Shadows and tall trees

Lately things are starting to cool down, but Jack is turning very hostile towards the littluns. Ralph’s authority is being challenged by everybody, because Jack stands up to him everyone fells tough enough to face Ralph. That afternoon, the hunters find pig scat, and Jack suggests they hunt the pig while they continue to search for the beast. Jack feels it’s important to protect the littluns. Ralph decides to accompany Jack in the hunt. Ralph, who has never been on a hunt before, quickly gets caught up in the excitement of the chase. He flings the spear at the boar injuring it, but it still got away. Although the boar escapes, the boys remain in frenzy in the aftermath of the hunt. Excited, they reenact the chase among themselves with a boy named Robert playing the boar. They lose themselves in the fun that they actually hurt Robert. Chapter 6

Dear Diary
The situation is getting really worse because of every body turning on Ralph’s authority and disobeying him. He all went looking for the beastie around the rocks that have guano all over them. Jack immediately wanted to kill the beast but Ralph needed a plan to catch the beastie and protect the littluns. In the meeting the kids went nuts and started flailing spears around and ran of with Jack. I think Simon feels that he is embroiled between Jack and Ralph, and so do I. But if Ralph and Jack worked together it could make some improvements in the boys, the fire isn’t working because Jack broke my glasses.

Chapter 3

Today was a pretty slow day, because it seems like Ralph, Jack, and I are the only ones who want to get of this island. Then again Jack is kind of obsessed with killing a pig. Ralph and I are the ones working on the shelter, the other kids work on them for like five minutes and then go wander of to eat, swim, and play. At this rate we won’t make are chances of surviving very high. Not to mention all the other vicissitudes we have, the beastie, fresh water and food, and the shelters. I think that Jack has a seriously having a problem with killing something, it’s like there’s a compulsion driving him. The fire is going to burn out because Jack’s hunters are busy wandering around and wasting time. Piggy I think he is inscrutable and no one pays attention to him or respects him. The shelters are really crappy right now and the nights are starting to get really tendril, not to mention the predators around the jungle. I hope we can make it through this.

Chapter 2

Dear Diary,
Today I was completely disrespected by Jack, and he didn’t let me talk even though I was holding the conch the entire time. It started because the boys were worried that if any boats or ships would pass by, they wouldn’t know that they we were on the island. I had the conch and I started to talk, but Ralph broke the rules and talked about building a fire on the top of the mountain. No one cared that I had the conch and they all ran with Ralph to the top of the mountain. I feel like there so immature compared to me, and its irritating to see everyone acting like little kids. When we got to the top of the mountain Jack started ordering everybody to get logs and pieces of wood and branches to set them up in a pile so we could get a big enough fire. When we got the pile ready we had no way of getting the fire started. The kids thought that they would start the fire by rubbing two sticks together, but Jack got my glasses and tried to use the sun and my glasses to start the fire. I scream no give me back my glasses but he had already finished, the flame was small but then grew bigger and bigger. The boys danced and jumped around the fire, I told them the fire was getting out control and they needed to but it out. I realized that one of the boys was missing and it was the boy that talked about some beastie thing. Jack thought that the boy was in the flames, he immediately blamed me. Because I was in charge of counting and taking there names, but I couldn’t because they were all spread out and hard to find. So know everyone is mad at me because I wasn’t able to do my job, I hope that kid is okay.
