Chapter 3

Today was a pretty slow day, because it seems like Ralph, Jack, and I are the only ones who want to get of this island. Then again Jack is kind of obsessed with killing a pig. Ralph and I are the ones working on the shelter, the other kids work on them for like five minutes and then go wander of to eat, swim, and play. At this rate we won’t make are chances of surviving very high. Not to mention all the other vicissitudes we have, the beastie, fresh water and food, and the shelters. I think that Jack has a seriously having a problem with killing something, it’s like there’s a compulsion driving him. The fire is going to burn out because Jack’s hunters are busy wandering around and wasting time. Piggy I think he is inscrutable and no one pays attention to him or respects him. The shelters are really crappy right now and the nights are starting to get really tendril, not to mention the predators around the jungle. I hope we can make it through this.

Chapter 2

Dear Diary,
Today I was completely disrespected by Jack, and he didn’t let me talk even though I was holding the conch the entire time. It started because the boys were worried that if any boats or ships would pass by, they wouldn’t know that they we were on the island. I had the conch and I started to talk, but Ralph broke the rules and talked about building a fire on the top of the mountain. No one cared that I had the conch and they all ran with Ralph to the top of the mountain. I feel like there so immature compared to me, and its irritating to see everyone acting like little kids. When we got to the top of the mountain Jack started ordering everybody to get logs and pieces of wood and branches to set them up in a pile so we could get a big enough fire. When we got the pile ready we had no way of getting the fire started. The kids thought that they would start the fire by rubbing two sticks together, but Jack got my glasses and tried to use the sun and my glasses to start the fire. I scream no give me back my glasses but he had already finished, the flame was small but then grew bigger and bigger. The boys danced and jumped around the fire, I told them the fire was getting out control and they needed to but it out. I realized that one of the boys was missing and it was the boy that talked about some beastie thing. Jack thought that the boy was in the flames, he immediately blamed me. Because I was in charge of counting and taking there names, but I couldn’t because they were all spread out and hard to find. So know everyone is mad at me because I wasn’t able to do my job, I hope that kid is okay.
